When I was in grade school, my mom started a little group for six girls, including me and my sister Merrijane. We called ourselves “Sugar and Spice” and there must have at least been as much giggling as there was singing during our rehearsals. Our mothers bought us matching blouses and made matching skirts. I have to tell you – we were pretty awesome. At least, we thought we were pretty awesome. It was an amazing experience and confidence builder for these six little girls to be singing in harmony, reading music, performing in grade school programs and church meetings and developing wonderful friendships. I am grateful to my mom for putting the time and energy into our learning. I want to do the same for my own children.
If you would like to have this kind of opportunity for your children, talk to me about enrolling them in my Children’s Choir. This choir will give them a chance to make music and excel. Children in the Choir will work on the fundamentals of singing, including matching pitch, blending with others, producing a good vocal sound and proper diction. They will also learn to read sheet music, sing in two and three part harmony and prepare to participate in public performances.
The choir is for children ages 7 – 16. The time is: Wednesdays, 4:00 – 4:45pm
The rate is: $6 per session
A multiple child rate is:
± $5 per child – 2 children from a family
± $4 per child – 3+ children from a family
± $4 per child – for each child also taking piano lessons
Contact me today for this fun experience for your child.
Choir starts August 31 and I want your child to join us!
